Spellbook – D&D 3.5 v1.8, & 10,000+ downloads

So, I had to push out a quick update this morning. It seems that users who had not updated the app in a while were getting a database error. Thanks to Android’s error reporting I was able to find the issue quickly. Hopefully this only affected a few people who were on a much older version.
I’m also continuing to add small screen support, and am tweaking the layouts to work better on those screens. Doing this makes me realize how much I like Android’s theme support. It’s making these changes a breeze.

Oh, and did I mention that I passed 10,000 downloads? It seems like only the other day I was bragging about 5 thousand. I expect it’ll take a lot longer to get out of the 10,000 – 50,000 downloads category, but it’s a nice place to be!

Finally, I added a promo graphic, as a new version of the Android Market is rolling out, which makes use of this. It seems I did it just in time, as the market just updated on my phone!

Alright… back to work.

Happy Gaming!

Could you also make an app for the monster manual?

Hey, gratz on the great app. I am missing one function though:

I can understand that you cant put all the spells in the app for various legal reasons. But is it possible that you add a ‘add spell’ feature to it so that the user can add spells off the Compendium, the Dragon Magazine or even their own custom spells?

Maybe, since the app is free, is it open source as well?

and yeah , a MM addition would be very welcome too 😉

Yea… It’s kind of tricky, that one, but I think I have it figured out. Now I just have to find the time to implement it :-/

Do they not list at all? Is it when you’re viewing your spell book by cleric level?

Cool app. Really useful as i can never remember the spell numbers or my books.
+1 for adding your own spells. We have a few home brew and modded spells that i’d like to add to my book.

I’m going to 2nd the post made by Ceron. I would love to be able to put my own spells in to my “Spellbook – D&D 3.5 library”. If it were open source and I could add them without releasing it to anyone that would be great as well.

Add me to the list of people who want to be able to add their own spells to the spellbook app. Other than that missing functionality, it’s perfect! Thanks!
